Charlie absolutely loves sugared donuts. And monsters. And being frightened. Which is good, because the big black pan Charlie’s mom wants to use for donuts is out in the gardening shed--with Mr. Beast! (Who bears an uncanny resemblance to someone else Charlie knows...) Mr. Beast agrees to lend the pan, only if it’s returned filled with a batch of donuts. Even after a batch of his own, can Charlie resist his favorite snack--or will he become one? Thanks, Corey! Big thanks goes to my awesome county library! Everyone's always helpful and friendly, and everybody knows my name. (It's like "Cheers" but without the booze.) Anyway, Russell Ayto is an AMAZING illustrator! When I make a layout dummy for one of my manuscripts, half the time, I write "illustrated by Russell Ayto" on it! (The other half of the time, it's "illustrated by Leeza Hernandez.") They are both so magnifico!
