Big PB Planet applause for Peanut by David Lucas (Candlewick Press, 2008). In this whimsically-drawn forest fantasy, a treetop flower opens to reveal a tiny creature inside: a miniature, long-tailed monkey no bigger than a peanut! Seen through Peanut’s inexperienced eyes, his world is full of “monsters” and (often ridiculous) “dangers.” Can a new friend set the peewee primate straight, or will Peanut continue to fear that it’s the End of the World? Zoom on over to your local bookstore and bring it back to your home planet today.
Welcome to PB Planet!

sounds really cute!
Hi, Sheri! It IS! Especially if you read Peanut's lines in a squeaky little monkey voice. Try saying, "It's the End of the World!" in this voice. See? A mistaken case of Armageddon has never been more adorable!
