PB Planet Spotlight: Princess Peepers

Big PB Planet applause for Princess Peepers by Pam Calvert, illustrated by Tuesday Mourning (Marshall Cavendish Children, 2008). Princess Peepers adores her spectacular spectacles--until her snooty peers at The Royal Academy for Perfect Princesses poke fun at her. Determined not to be different (especially at the upcoming Royal Ball), PP packs up all her glasses, and stumbles off to show her new look to the others. But why is PP heading the wrong way down the path? Funny "sight gags" and misunderstandings abound in Calvert's positive-themed tale, and Mournings' pinky-purply hues and fancy costumes will appeal to every little princess. Zoom on over to your local bookstore and bring it back to your home planet today.

(OOH! Hey, everybody, it's Pam Calvert, author of Princess Peepers!) Pam, I gotta share this, from last night:

MONKEYKID: Mommy, Daddy, will I have to wear glasses when I grow up?

HUSBAND GUY: You mean, will you GET to wear glasses?

ME: Because there are so many cool ones now, you know.

MONKEYKID: (happy) Yeah, just like Princess Peepers!

That's immortality, baby! Congrats!
