PB Planet Spotlight: The Rope

Big PB Planet applause for The Rope by Joe Kulka (Pelican Publishing, 2008). Pa, Ma, and the children enjoy a simple life--until Junior discovers the rope hanging from the sky in the middle of their cornfield. Puzzled by it and its sign that says, "Pull for more," the family decides to ponder the mystery over supper. But when Pa asks for a second helping of soup, and there isn't any more, he gets an idea... Kulka's fantastic-as-always art humorously depicts the poor family's disastrous experiments with "more," and warmly illustrates their realization that they'd already had all they ever needed. Zoom on over to your local bookstore and bring it back to your home planet today.
